Nearly every one of my conversations with or about MSPs focuses on either solution stacks for backup/DR/cyber — and/or — how MSPs grow predictable, scalable businesses that deliver data protection services alongside cybersecurity, networking, and IT operations via management frameworks

So, I’m at Kaseya Connect 26 to hear the latest on Unitrends, Datto, and Spanning — while listening for BCDR, CyberResilience, and where we’ll see AI within their solution stack (and vice versa). It ought to be a great week with Kaseya.

DPM’s coverage of Connect 2026 includes:
Day 1: What I am listening for: https://lnkd.in/gFKSi2HY
Day 2: Announcements in Cyber Resilience: https://lnkd.in/gPfidYg8
Day 3: Favorite takeaway quotes: https://lnkd.in/gFnvyk3q

video transcript

Whenever I talk to managed service providers, the conversation usually goes one of two ways.

Either it’s about choosing the technology stacks that deliver the best outcomes for customers, whether that’s Microsoft 365 and cloud based protection, on prem solutions, endpoint protection, and so on.

Or it’s about how MSPs can build a sustainable, scalable business that includes not only data protection as a service, but also cybersecurity, management frameworks, and related capabilities.

So I’m here at Kaseya Connect because that conversation includes Unitrends, Datto, and Spanning. Of course, I’m listening for what all of this means for cyber resilience as a broader set of capabilities, and where AI fits into the picture.

It should be a really good week.
