God has put a passion in my heart for coaching & mentoring – and a lifetime of being poured into within a particular set of skills and capabilities. If the information below resonates with you, then I’d love to explore if there are areas that I can help you grow. If it doesn’t resonate, that is okay too.

Who I am
I believe a life spent helping others is a well-spent life. My primary gifts and skills are most often associated with clearly seeing big pictures and trends, as well as effectively communicating through writing and public speaking. I avoid drama and choose to avoid people and situations that don’t demonstrate general kindness and civility towards each other. The world needs more empathy and positivity; but we seem constantly bombarded with negative divisiveness, so I don’t spend energy in toxic circumstances. Life is too short.
I am a Christian
I believe that God sent his Son to die for my sins and only because I choose to follow Him are my sins forgiven.
I am a flawed work-in-progress; but our community expects imperfect people to help other imperfect people to continually try to improve.
We may not share the same beliefs and that is more than okay. Our sessions will not be about faith topics unless you want them to be.
My coaching is grounded in the coaching, mentoring, and professional training that I have received over my lifetime. However, if you ask me what my faith teaches about topics we are working on, I will share my understanding from the Bible.
I am a Scout
Character and leadership should be grounded in a life that is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
Life should be spent serving others.
I’ve spent nearly 20 years coaching and mentoring, predominantly helping young adults grow their character, leadership, self-reliance, and life skills.
Leading volunteers has taught me about leading through shared vision, instead of just authority.
I am an industry ‘expert’
My 35+ year career has been in one topic and includes pre-sales, product marketing, product management, field enablement, people development and management, thought leadership, market insights, and evangelism.
If your learning goals include public speaking and/or taking market data from charts to insights that are actionable and compelling for audiences, then we likely have skill-based topics to engage on.
If you happen to also be in the IT services, data protection, or resilience industries, we can tailor our conversations to be more specific for your vocational roles and goals.
Note: if you are looking for data protection industry expertise, please consider DPM’s annual services agreement which includes strategic collaboration hours each month.
